Future Islands真的讓我聯想到LCD Soundsystem，雖都有電子舞蹈成份，但是不一樣。前者是Synthpop/Alternative Rock，後者是Dance-Punk。

先前發的那幾首單曲我真的都很喜歡，〈Money〉、〈Lost on Me〉、〈World Pleasure〉和〈I'm a Girl〉，還有最新朗朗上口的〈Imaginary〉，Peace讓我覺得不論是主題性還是歌詞都很有天賦，造就完整度很高的音樂。第1張《In Love》我就超喜歡了，所以等不及要買。

終於等到新單曲。

其實有點感動TT 因為音樂革命和朋友之間多年的感情。
正如主唱他說他這一代與80年代青年革命比你想像的有更多的共同點：“這感覺就像與我們今天所擁有有很多相似之處，那種決心跳舞，而你身邊一切都分崩離析。”

更硬的，我想到他們也喜歡的前輩Tame Impala，靈魂人物Kevin Parker表示：「我希望歌曲能像波浪一樣打在樂迷身上，而不是讓樂迷像是在旋律的海洋中游泳一樣。」我想Swim Deep他們正朝這樣邁進吧！

來自英國的These New Puritans從2006年活躍至今，當年以獨立(實驗)搖滾吸引了大家，後來的2張專輯已蛻變至層次更深更有藝術性的古典音樂，磅礡，華麗，黑暗管樂風、部落節奏都是可以聽見的。成員有靈魂人物Jack Barnett(主唱/製作人/多種樂器)和George Barnett(鼓手/loop)這對孿生兄弟以及Thomas Hein(貝司/鍵盤/鼓/合成器)，還有消失一段時間的女鍵琴手Sophie Sleigh-Johnson後來正式離隊，取代的是Elisa Rodrigues這位葡萄牙爵士女歌手。

*自學樂理的Jack後來在第2張專輯《Hidden 》(2010)時已可以寫樂譜給正統古典音樂樂師演奏。現在並沒有用上一般的電子合成器，而是特別採用了Magnetic Resonator Piano這套由倫敦大學下屬的瑪麗王后學院(Queen Mary, University of London)之數碼音樂中心教授Andrew McPherson所研發、以往只被現代古典音樂家演奏的Electronic-Acoustic鋼琴裝置。
