來自美國明尼蘇達州的陰晴不定/憂悒的 R&B 歌手 Corbin，以前稱為 Spooky Black，這是他的首張專輯《MOURN》。歌的聲音影響來自於 Kate Bush 的1985年獨創的〈Running Up That Hill〉，電子製作人 Drexciya 的後龐克、新浪潮、工業 (industrial) 和底特律 techno。此張專輯獲得好評。

Corbin 先發布〈ICE BOY〉。今年早些，他公開一首名為〈Destrooy〉的歌曲。早在2015年，他與 Bobby Raps 合作，發行了一張名為《大懶蟲 Couch Potato》的EP。

《MOURN》於9月5日發行。專輯的概念是「鬆散地敘述，鬆散的基礎上，一個隱居的男主人公因為這個國家的現況況，說服他的愛人搬到樹林裡的地堡，然後，他死於一場空難，她隨後搬回家裡後去世」。

Shlohmo 和 D33J 兩人擔任製作人，在洛杉磯創造了曲目。Antwon 和 Blood Orange 吉他手 Ben Morsberger 也參與專輯。今年秋季 Shlohmo 和 D33J 與他共同參加了巡迴演出。

戴上耳機，躲進自己的森林世界享受這張情緒化的專輯，超自然的情感與前衛節奏。《MOURN》我已經聽十次以上了。

King Krule 是 blue wave 雖然新專輯越來越黑暗，簡直是 dark wave 和 punk。Corbin 則是 dark wave 中的 dark wave。與 King Krule 一樣有時嘶吼，歌詞一樣很有意境。

Corbin 從之前 MV 都圍繞在他家鄉明尼蘇達州的森林，這次車子沿著明尼蘇達州的高速公路，森林是一個逃脫和破碎的象徵。成長過程如樹木的內部與外部必須的動盪刺激。喜歡這支 MV 的色調和鏡頭，專輯中我也很喜歡這首。期待〈Ice Boy〉也許拍 MV。
我一直覺得國外的蟑螂比較美。
